About Us

Green Habitat Initiative (GHI) is a non-profit organization on a mission to foster sustainable cities and communities in Nigeria. GHI’s core programs focus on 4 sustainable development goals (SDGs); Clean Water & Sanitation (SDG 6), Affordable & Clean Energy (SDG 7) Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), and Climate action (SDG 13).

 

GHI leverages on technology, innovation, partnerships, and sustainability (TIPS) approach to execute programs and projects towards the achievement of our mission. 

 

Amongst our stellar achievements, GHI is the first local NGO to partner with USAID in the WASH sector. 

 

GHI has collaborated with a unique caliber of partners ranging from international development organizations, government agencies, private companies, other NGOs, tech hubs, and academia. Some of these partners include the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), German and French Embassies in Abuja, Federal Ministries of Water and Environment, and State Ministries of Water Resources and Environment.
